Ingredients:

wheat flour, water salt, paprika, oil

 

Method:

Use the flour and some lukewarm water to make crumbs. Then sift them to keep only larger crumbs. Drop the crumbs in boiling salted water for about 5–10 min., while stirring constantly. Top with brown sauce made from oil and paprika. Serve for breakfast or else with toasted bread.



Pork with sour cabbage

Ingredients:

pork, sour cabbage, lard, salt, water, fenugreek

 

Method:

Cut the pork into pieces and fry in the lard. Add the sour cabbage and the water, bring to the boil and leave to simmer until cooked. Finally, sprinkle with fenugreek and salt to taste. The dish is traditionally prepared to mark Michaelmas.
